Emerald Sod Farms (ESF) is pleased to provide you with some basic information about sod installation and care to help ensure that your turfgrass project is a success.  We grow our sod from seed varieties that are certified sod quality.  We mix together three to four varieties, best adapted to thrive in Denver and the Rocky Mountain Region, for each of our turfgrass blends.

There is no perfect turfgrass blend for all situations, but through the years we have continued to grow better sod products by improving color and durability, and finding varieties that are more disease-resistant and use less water and fertilizer.  If you have any questions about turfgrass varieties or about sod installation, please call us at 303-654-0202.

We are absolutely focused on growing a quality product.  We grow our sod on sandy loam soil that has been tested at 83 percent US Golf Association specification, and it’s perfect for growing premium turfgrass that roots easily and thrives in properly prepared soil.  Our sod comes to you fresh and healthy and this installation and maintenance information will help you keep it that way.  We want you to enjoy our turfgrass in your lawn for many years to come!
